JiraPulse puts your Jira issues in the browser toolbar: a live count on the icon, your JQL lists one click away, and a desktop notification when something actually needs you. No tab switching, no dashboard to reload. Read-only — it never changes anything in Jira.

Count badge
The number of issues from one JQL query of your choice, refreshed in the background on your own schedule.
My work
Up to ten JQL lists in the popup, each with its own columns, widths, order and page size. Any field of your instance can become a column — type part of its name and pick it.
Real sorting and paging
Over the whole result set, not just the visible page. Sort choice is remembered per list, issue keys are links, statuses use Jira’s own category colours.
SLA at a glance
A coloured pill with the time left, including custom SLA fields from third-party plugins. Anything above normal priority is highlighted.
Changes
New comments, status and priority changes on your issues, counted from the moment each issue became yours. Three layouts, one click apart — and zero extra API requests.
Other people’s issues
Issue counts for the colleagues you follow, built from your own JQL with currentUser() swapped for each person. One filter to maintain instead of two.
Desktop notifications
New issues, approaching SLA or due dates, changes in your issues. Your own thresholds (-1d, -2h, -30m), each standard or urgent. Urgent alerts stay on screen until dismissed.
Built for real instances
Jira Cloud (REST v3, API token) and Data Center / Server (REST v2, PAT), detected automatically. Separate address for API and links if your instance sits behind a gateway.
How it works
- Enter your Jira address and an API token. The extension detects Cloud vs Data Center on its own and asks for access to that one domain — not to all websites.
- Point it at a JQL query. That query drives the badge; up to nine more become the lists in the popup.
- Pick a refresh interval. A whole cycle is a handful of requests, and the Changes tab adds none — comments and history ride along in the same search response.
- Set notification thresholds per trigger. You are never notified about something you did yourself.

Privacy
There is no backend of mine in the middle. No proxy, no analytics, no telemetry. The extension talks to your Jira instance and nothing else, access is requested for a single domain, and your settings and API token stay on your device unless you explicitly opt into browser sync — with separate consents for settings and for the token.
